SSB "Connection Not Fully Secure" Workaround

Due to browser updates, you may be seeing a "Connection Not Fully Secure" message when trying to connect to Self-Service Banner (similar to the message below).

The Technology Division is aware of the issue and we are working to correct this issue. In the meantime, please consider using one of the temporary measures outlined below:

For Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge

Click on Advanced and then click on "Proceed to blss9.chattanoogastate.edu (unsafe)".

For Mozilla Firefox

Click on Enable TLS 1.0 and 1.1. Refresh the page to get to Self Service.

You next may need to refresh the browser page (click the circling arrow at top left) to get to Self Service Banner.

Chrome Alternate Method

1. Click the "Start" icon.

2. Type "run" in the search box, then click the "Run" app shortcut.

3. Copy and paste the following into the "Open" field : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --ignore-certificate-errors

4. Chrome should open and you can open and connect to SSB without the warning displayed.
